Teotihuacán Civilization (100 BCE – 550 CE)

Teotihuacán was one of the most powerful and mysterious civilizations in ancient Mesoamerica. The city of Teotihuacán, located near modern-day Mexico City, was one of the largest cities in the ancient world, with a population of over 100,000 people at its peak.

The city was carefully planned, featuring a grid-like layout, advanced drainage systems, and massive pyramids.

The Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon are among its most famous landmarks. These massive structures were used for religious ceremonies and astronomical observations.

The Avenue of the Dead was the city's main road, lined with important temples and palaces.

The civilization mysteriously declined around 550 CE, possibly due to internal unrest, climate change, or invasions. However, its architecture and religious ideas influenced later cultures like the Aztecs.
